Stop Local Councils Setting Up in Competition with Small Businesses
Did you know that in North East Lincolnshire Council and Camden Council are currently using tax payer’s money and council facilities to set up in direct competition with local Memorial Masons.
NAMM are concerned that these Councils are using Tax payers’ money and Council resources to directly compete with Memorial Masons and other local business using the Localism Act 2011. This action may be the deciding factor in their survival during these harsh economic times.
Already one Memorial Mason has been made redundant because of this extraordinary action.
The Council are using the Localism Act 2011 to set up in direct competition with local business. This action may be the deciding factor in their survival during these harsh economic times.
NAMM encourage all Memorial Masons or small businesses of any kind who are concerned about the Localism Act 2011 to download this letter (Fill in your personal details, name of local Council and sign the document) then send copies to all your local MP’s.
This will ensure you local MP’s are aware of your concerns, promote a response to you and hopefully bring this issue to the attention of Central Government.
