BRITISH REGISTER OF ACCREDITED MEMORIAL MASONS B.R.A.M.M.
The BRAMM Executive Board will be meeting on Thursday 20th January 2005. All comments regarding the final consultation version of the BRAMM Information Guide have been passed to the Board for their perusal.
THE BRAMM WEBSITE DATABASE WILL BE GOING ON-LINE IMMINENTLY - WE HAVE HAD A FEW PROBLEMS BUT WE ARE TRYING TO RECTIFY THESE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. REGISTERING YOUR INTEREST IN THE BRAMM SCHEME The first step in the process of establishing the BRAMM Scheme is to set up a database of businesses and burial authorities who are interested in joining the Scheme. Once BRAMM has received your ‘register of interest' form, the BRAMM Application Pack will automatically be dispatched when it is ready . Please note that these ‘registration' forms are purely for you to register an interest in joining the Scheme – they do not commit you joining the BRAMM Scheme.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE BRAMM SCHEME
BRAMM was set up in 2004. The purpose of the Scheme will be to establish a network of nationally accredited businesses and registered fixers that will ultimately replace individual Registration Schemes. The Scheme will aim to establish a recognised standard of workmanship throughout the UK and will protect the public by ensuring that adequate public liability insurance is provided. It is also essential that an accredited business and a registered fixer follow current health & safety legislation in order to protect both the public and their employees.
It will NOT be a requirement that anyone wishing to register with BRAMM must also be a member of NAMM. The Scheme will be developed to provide benefits to everyone involved.
A BRAMM Executive Board has been formed and will consist of the following organisations (current representatives for each organisation are also listed):
The BRAMM Executive Board are currently in the process of finalising the BRAMM Application Pack. It is envisaged that these packs will be ready within weeks. If there are any masons who are not members of NAMM and are interested in becoming a representative on the BRAMM Executive Board then please let us know (see below for more information regarding the BRAMM Executive Board).
